The story began in Barcelona, in year 2000, when Raül Rexach and Lluc Güell wanted to create a new band with new influences, speed and melodic metal-oriented. So they decided to look for a singer, guitar player and keyboard player. Some announcements were put in a certain street of Barcelona.

At the begining it was very hard, only guitar players came to them and it was difficult to find good feeling between those and the vison of the band within the style they wanted to perform. But the course of the band changed the day that Marc Triginer called. He joined the band few days later as the keyboard player. That was indeed the beginning of a new era for Darian. At last they finally found the melodic style they had been looking for and, with him, new oportunities to explore the power metal universe.

After a long while playing with good guitar players although with few things in common, they found Roger Sobrepera for the role of guitar hero. At the same time they contacted a singer, Marcel Puy, and then the band was complete (under the name of NightStorm) but it wouldn't be for long....

For some months they were rehearsing with this line-up and making new songs, but at the end they agreed with Marcel to finish the relationship. They followed their way, looking for a new singer again. Finally Erik Llerena joined the band as the new singer. The band remained the same for a little while, but a sad day they were forced to go on without Roger because of differences in musical style and working way. Again, it was time to search for a new guitar player.

After trying some more skilled guitar players, Lluís Huguet knocked on the door to stay definitively. So then the band was complete and Lluís could give the songs a new dimension. In february 2004 Marc moved to live abroad for seven months, but before that, the band decided to record in a studio three of the composed songs.

When Marc came back to Barcelona Darian could go on playing, but that situation only lasted for two months, since then it was the time for Raül and Lluc to take a break. Unfortunately, whereas they were out, Lluís decided to quit the band due to a change in his musical preferences.

In october 2005 the band started a new search for a guitar player, resulting in the incorporation of Albert Casan. On the 21st of april 2006, their first live show was held in 'Dau' (Barcelona) together with the heavy metal band Silent Scream. 2006 was a good year for Darian, they got back to regular rehearsals and worked in new songs. The gig in 'Carretera 13' (Badalona) was the last one with Lluc playing drums, since he thought that other person should replace him whereas he could become rythm guitarist in Darian.

In may 2007 Darian is playing live again with Sphinx in Barcelona. Stay metal!
